Protecting children from tobacco retail shop display point of sale smokefree cars endorsement



	Endorsements (national and NSW)* This campaign by ASH and our partners seeks to protect children by: removing tobacco products from view in all retail outlets; ensuring that only adults are permitted to sell tobacco; implementing a comprehensive licensing scheme for tobacco sellers; banning the sale of tobacco products targeted at youth; banning the sale of tobacco from temporary outlets and vending machines; strengthening laws against sale of tobacco to children and increasing penalties for breaking them; making cars carrying children smokefree by law; and making public places highly frequented by children, such as playgrounds, public swimming pools and food service areas, smokefree.
